When love comes down

Last evening Tarun and mom went grocery shopping. He came back with a sheepish smile holding a huge bunch of pale pink carnations!! Just like that! It's adorable how he does these spontaneous little things that make my day special. 

The loving wrist rubs he gives me in the middle of night, when he wakes up for a few seconds and sees me hunching over my laptop chasing some deadline, are just so incredible! I can never wrap my head around how he does that!

Bring me love

I'm so glad the weekend is almost here! It's going to be a beautiful weekend too! On saturday I'll get to see a bunch of friends and celebrate the 2 birthday of a very lovely boy. I haven't seen them for a few months and am really looking forward to spending some time catching up. 

And since, it's going to be super sunny, Saturday will also be prefect for a walk through Valley Forge National Park. It will be awesome!

Curacao blue is my new favorite color and I love how fabulous it looks paired with yellows and oranges.

Love is real

Can't believe its 5 PM already! Time just flew by today. It happens to me when I'm really engrossed in something. There are a bunch of interesting things in the pipeline this month. Will have some new and fabulous things to share pretty soon.

You are the one!

It's so wet and grey today! All I wanted to do in the morning was snuggle under my comforter and dream. Dream of lilies, swings and sunshine. Swings are my favorite. On a swing, all thoughts disappear and the incredible joy of the moment is all that matters. *Sigh* 

It's good that mom is here, she makes the worlds best ginger tea. One whiff and a tiny gulp is enough to center my mind :)

We are going to eat some delicious food and then drive in the sleet to the grocery store. We will spend about 10 min picking things on our list and 30 min checking out things that we will never need. Fun time!

I hope you all are having a beautiful monday! I woke up smiling today. Happy dreams in the morning do that to me. Do you remember what you dream? Sometimes I just remember the feeling (of excitement, terror, sadness or happiness) and just can't remember what the dream was all about. And I drive myself nuts trying to remember!

And here is something to make you all smile...

  

I had the best of time creating the letters with crazy crooked lines. My old sketch books are filled with such pen and ink letter doodles. It is very satisfying when a doodle turns into a real thing.

So what are the plans for the weekend?  We are going to stay in this weekend and have some friends over for movies and dinner. It's sooo cold outside that I'm pretty much indoors all day long, working on some sweet valentine illustrations. Will have some in my shop by early next week.
