About me

Hello! My name Pragya is a Hindi word that means intellect.

I was born in India and immigrated to United States in 2008 (trailing spouse to a IT guy). My childhood was spent in the sleepy town of Udaipur before moving to Ahmedabad to study design in my late teens. I completed Under Graduate in Accessory Design from NIFT and Post graduate in Design Management from NID.

I left India post marriage and began to keep a visual illustrative diary and fell head over heels in love with illustration and decided to pursue it full time. Fortunately I'm loving every minute of it!

My illustrations are often loosely based on my life, random incidents and far off dreams. I try to achieve simplicity in my work. But, simpler the work becomes, the more complex it becomes.
