For the love of bags

A post celebrating my love for handbags and purses!! I wish I could have at least one bag from all of these gorgeous bag makers from Etsy. Might you be a bag lover too?

I LOVE the colors in Arnont & Toanoi's shop (husband and wife duo) . The greens, reds, oranges and yellows are bright and breezy and just right for a Spring/Summer feel(my weakness for color is showing!). All bags are hand cut and painted with technic drawing on leather by hot steel or pyrography technic on leather.

You must check out their shop RN & TN studio for some really colorful wallets, purses, key chains and ipod cases.

Don't you love the photography? What beautiful images!! and notice the subtle and very aesthetic use of logo cum watermark! Can any one make watermark look any hotter? RARAMODO has bags that are one of a kind and mostly appears in a limited editions. Sleek, sassy with a touch of class best describes these bags.

Meg from TsuruBride is behind these wildly cute purses. This collection is named Orwell clutches, after the author of "Animal Farm"! How cute!! She also does veggie purses from pleather. So all my veggie friends convo her!

Found these fabulous bags on LaTouchables's shop. Love the casual and Fall-ish feel of these beautiful bags. I can see myself carrying the all white bag 9-to-5, on a plane or on a train. She also has a wonderful blog that you can check out here.

I hope you found something wonderful! Enjoy!

Woolly reverie

Remember Mrs Van Hom the leggy realtor from the last post? This series of 11 x 14 prints are about her.

How the story goes - From a time when her day was filled with of 100's of phone calls, e-mails and home viewings , her life has changed now. Business is slow, not many houses are coming up in the market and the market is showing no signs of picking up either.

These days, in the sunny mornings Mrs. Van Hom, having taken her accustomed bath, drifts around in her sun filled home, from sunrise till noon, rapt in woolly reverie.

This series explores her daydreams with shapes, colors and sometimes words.

I'm experimenting with abstraction in this series. What do you think? Can you connect with it?

My holiday just flew by! But, I'm happy to be back :D.

Another existing news to share. Secret rendezvous got featured on the Front page today early morning. YAY!! I've been doing my happy dance ever since I found out.

I have a feeling that the week is going to be filled with sunshine and warmth!!

Birdscape of the day - Pledora's Mommy

Pledora's mommy is inspired from a mysterious old woman who is always in my dreams. Some times she is just a mute spectator in some happenings and at others she is the one who is making them happen. Haven't thought of a appropriate name for her. So, for now we will go with Pledora's mommy.

, Pledora's mommy, bird art of the dayNarration - Pledora has gone to visit psychic Migxo and her mommy is nervously pacing around. Usually the fluttering of clothes on a line calms her down but not today. Mommy has been worried about their dying crops. If they don't save the crops they will starve in the winters.

Birdscape of the day - Aura Reading

Migxo the psychic (loosely based on a colorful character back home) is in a session with Pledora (the yellow one).

Pledora is an old friend who has come back often to get psychic help from Migxo. These sessions have shown her the path before and Pledora is looking forward to finding a solution to her current dilemma.

All prints can be purchased from ArtOcrat.

Birdscape of the day - After a long day

, Empress Spadona after a long day, bird art of the day
Narration - Empress Spadona had a busy day in the parliament house today. Earlier today there was massive flooding in some of the western towns. Evacuation attempts were successful and temporary shelters were being established in the neighboring towns.

The plans for the royal couple to visit the affected towns are underway.
